Are vitamins B9 and B12 in Multi suitable for those with MTHFR gene mutations?Updated 7 months ago
Both vitamins B9 and B12 in Multi are obtained through NutriGenesis®, a process that mimics how vitamins are made in nature.
We begin with methylcobalamin and folic acid, which are added to a yeast medium. The yeast culture then divides and produces food-identical forms of vitamins B12 and B9 used in our products.
Evidence suggests that the main types of folate produced by the yeast are 5-MTHF and THF folate. Similarly, B12 may be present as adenosylcobalamin or methylcobalamin—active forms that are easily absorbed and utilized by the body.
However, because these nutrients are produced by yeast and not synthetically, we cannot guarantee the exact forms present.
